Run for a Cause: Steadfast Equity Supports the 3rd DeMolay Independence Run

Despite the gloomy weather and early morning drizzle in Subic Bay Freeport Zone and the whole Olongapo City, nothing could dampen the spirit of the community at the 3rd DeMolay Independence Run, held today, June 8th 2025 . With race categories ranging from 21 kilometers down to 3 kilometers, the event gathered runners of all ages, all driven by a shared purpose: fitness, fun, and philanthropy.

The run was spearheaded by Mr. Angelo Gonzales, Master Councilor of DeMolay Teodoro R. Yangco Chapter No. 4, with full support from the DeMolay organization affiliates and his family. Their tireless efforts brought together families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts in an event that was not only about wellness—but also about making a meaningful impact.

This year’s run was more than just a race. It was a movement.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Upper Sibul Elementary School and Pili Elementary School, helping provide much-needed resources to improve educational opportunities for young students in underserved communities.
